“i film because, I like to entertain and make people laugh. Happiness
is not only a virtue, but a moral obligation. If I can make people
smile for a moment, or laugh at themselves, then I’ve done my job as
an artist.” - Jordan Crowder

“i film because…during my life I feel I’ve learned a lot and have become inspired. I think I have a good idea of what love and happiness is. I believe the best way to spend your time on this earth is using your strengths to help others and make a better world for future generations. Through my filmmaking abilities I want to share my inspirations with others with the hopes that it will cause them to become inspired, and what a better way to share love and happiness with the world than through one of the most popular mediums; film. I believe that love has the nature to be a wonderfully contagious being. I want to use my films to help people.” - Mike McSweeny

“i film because…i want to share my vision and story that I create to the world and let them experience it. I love writing stories and I love showing them to an audience that would also love and appreciate them. I love filming and I consider it as a hobby that I enjoy the most. I intend to create characters that people would care about and have personal emotions towards them. I have become inspired by a lot of films and film directors. My favorite directors are Christopher Nolan, Quentin Tarantino, David Fincher, Steven Speilberg, Martin Scorsese, Stanley Kubrick and James Cameron. My favorite films include Pulp Fiction, Saving Private Ryan, Back To The Future, Fight Club, Goodfellas, A Clockwork Orange, The Dark Knight and much more. These are the main films and directors that have inspired me in my filmmaking career.” - Fuwad Abrar

“i film because…it’s truly the culmination of all other art forms. While I don’t agree that ANY art form is better than another, film has given us a medium to put story, photography, music, sound, and even dance or applied arts in one place. For me, it’s a way of getting the images and stories that rattle around in my brain out for the world to see.” - Craig J. Inzana

“i film because…its a way of showing your creative mind to the world. Its also a way you can express your feelings and emotions in writing and on camera. Film is my passion, and if you have passion for something there is not any excuse why you shouldn’t go ahead and live your dream. I Film because its my dream. “Imagination is the KEY to Filmmaking”. -  Ivan Diaz (Illusion Image Films)

“i film because…there’s just something about being on a set - the smell of the light kits, seeing crew members working into making the production as smooth as possible, the sense of urgency and chasing time, the feeling of the production’s pressure weighing on me as I try to make sense of how the day is gonna go… It is my passion come to life, and I feel right at home. Whenever I’m on a set, running a shoot - my life makes 100% sense.” - Yvan Ray

“i film because… I like stories, and I like telling stories. My earliest memories involve seeing Toy Story and thinking my toys would start talking once I left the room, or seeing The Wizard of Oz and being so terrified of the Wicked Witch that I couldn’t sleep. I think that’s the power of movies: If a movie is good, it can have a powerful impact on who you are, how you act or who you become. Luke Skywalker, Frank Drebin and Marty McFly may not exist but they’ve had a bigger impact on my life than most real people or teachers ever will; they’ve reached millions and billions of other people too, and thanks to cinema they will for many generations to come, and to me that makes them real. That’s what I want: the idea that one day I could make something that doesn’t just entertain you, but could also change who you are. That’s why I make movies.” - Andy Young

“i film because…I enjoy seeing the thoughts, dreams and pictures of those who film come to life! I try and make the process of filming a little bit easier. It can be a long and trying process to get a film made and the creative aspect can take a back seat. i help filmers so they can film.” - Brittany Green (Film Ventura County)
